Aadhaar card is a unique identity document that contains the details of one individual like name, DOB, address, gender, photo, contact detail etc. Nowadays this 12 digits biometric identity proof Aadhaar card is one of the mandatory documents used for verifying individual identity? EPFO now made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with EPF Account. There is a UAN (Universal Account Number) provided by EPFO to the employees who do save a part of their salary in PF. You have to link your Aadhaar with UNA.

This made the entire process of tracing account details and other services easier. Now employees can check the status of their PF account balance, submit PF claims, partial withdrawal of money and statement on their own. For availing all these facilities, you need to link Aadhaar with EPF account and UAN.

What’s the online process to link Aadhaar with EPF Account?

  • Go to EPFO official website –
  • Login to your UAN number & password.
  • Go to manage tab and select KYC option in the drop-down list
  • Choose KYC tab and select the update option
  • Update all the entities like the bank account, PAN, driving license, ration card, Voter card etc details
  • Go to save button and save all the changes you have done

How to link Aadhaar with EPF Account offline

Not everyone is gadget freak & this has been seen that many employees and pensioners were facing problem in linking their Aadhaar to EPF online. EPFO decided to launch a facility for updating or linking Aadhaar through offline mode.
